Director’s Message

Welcome to the Master of Science Programme in Stroke and Clinical Neurosciences (MCNS) at Division of Neurology, Department of Medicine and Therapeutics, the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Facing an ageing population, cerebrovascular and neurological diseases such as stroke and dementia have been striking our society and will be on the rising trend. Founded in 2006, the MSc of Stroke and Clinical Neurosciences was established in response to the enormous demand for well-trained professionals in neurology, as well as the first master degree programme in the field.

With our expertise in Neurology, we are committed to providing comprehensive and multidisciplinary education to nurses, therapists and all related healthcare professionals in this area. Our teaching faculty consists of world renowned professors and outstanding frontline experts, which equips our students with in-depth and cutting edge knowledge as well as excellent skills to cope with the challenges in their workplace.

We continue to refine our programme, as we always strive for excellence; we nurture continuous development, as we encourage professional advancement. Over the years, we have set up various awards in recognition of our students’ contribution, quality research and dissertation, and remarkable leadership in the field. We have also set up a scholarship to encourage our graduates to present their works at international conferences.

As another decade of our programme is ahead, we revamped this website to give a refreshed sight and enhanced content to everyone. I invite all of you to make use of this website to find out what you need for your application; explore the fruitful experience, exciting news and achievements by our students, alumni and colleagues. After all, stay connected with us by giving our Facebook page a LIKE!

Wishing you all a joyful learning experience and successful career!
