This programme has equipped me with essential knowledge about stroke and other common neurological diseases. I also have learnt more about the roles of other disciplines in treating various neurological conditions and thus facilitated communications with them. It has also enlightened me to think a step forward on how to improve the existing service of my workplace.

Starting my career in a stroke and neurological rehabilitation setting, I developed special interest in neurosciences. As I got in touch with more and more patients with stroke, I discovered that all of them had different presentations and their needs for rehabilitation could be very different. I also realized that the knowledge I had acquired during my undergraduate study was insufficient for me to understand my cases thoroughly. Knowing that the Chinese University of Hong Kong had been offering a Master of Science Programme in Stroke and Clinical Neurosciences, I was supported by my seniors to apply for the course.

This programme has equipped me with essential knowledge about stroke and other common neurological diseases. It has also enlightened me to think a step forward on how to improve the existing service of my workplace.

One of the best parts of this programme is the design of the content. It was comprehensive which enriched my knowledge not only about the factual theory but also how other disciplines worked in daily practice. Moreover, the workload of this course was reasonable and would not stress you out even if you have to handle your daily clinical work and your study at the same time. I highly recommend those who are interested in clinical neurosciences and wish to be better equipped as a professional to join this programme.
