This programme provided me with a holistic view for clinical management of neurological diseases in multiple disciplines, from the pathology, diagnostic investigation to treatment and rehabilitation. The structured lectures and practical sessions allowed me to have a deeper understanding of the work of my colleagues, and more importantly, of the ‘journey’ of my clients.

I am a graduate from the MCNS programme in 2015. I have worked in a rehabilitation hospital as an Occupational Therapist for a number of years, serving people with brain injury. Being the one and only taught master’s programme in clinical neurosciences in Hong Kong, the MCNS programme impressed me with its specificity, comprehensiveness and practicality.

I always believe better understanding promotes better disease management. With more knowledge about the neurological diseases and medical experiences of people with brain injury, I can have closer cooperation with colleagues and clients, and this facilitates their recovery journey.

The comprehensiveness of this programme is not limited to clinical knowledge and skills, but also includes administrative component. The elective course of health services management introduces us to the foundational concepts for our services enhancement and development.

I was very honoured to receive the Excellent Dissertation Award and the International Conference Scholarship. These encouraged me to submit my abstract to the IBIA 12th World Congress on Brain Injury at New Orleans in March 2017. I was so excited to attend an international conference, to learn and to share experience with experts from worldwide. This was definitely a memorable and valuable experience that broadened my horizon and inspired my clinical work.

Last but not least, I was very grateful to have encountered all the teachers and staff of this programme. I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks for their kindness and support all along.
